FREE outdoor gym use

Come and use the free gym equipment in Kingsgate and Lilliput Parks:

It is suitable for adults of all ages - including elderly residents.

There are instructions on how to use them, and you can adjust them to fit your fitness level. Please remember to sanitise your hands before and after use, and keep to social distancing.

Lib Dems on Yate Town Council worked with Dodington Parish Council to organise the funding and the two groups of equipment between them. It means people can do gym type exercise for free outdoors. And for those used to taking a walk for fitness, you can add a bit of upper body exercise if you want.

Let us know how you get on with the equipment and anything / anywhere else you think would benefit from this sort of provision.

Kingsgate Park Wins Award

The new outdoor gym - closed along with the rest of the Park during COVID 19 shutdown

The Friends of Kingsgate have received confirmation that Kingsgate Park has been awarded 5 stars in the South West in Bloom Pride in Parks Award entry judged back in 2019.

This is the third year in a row the park has been awarded the highest award. 

So so pleased.  Thanks to all the Estates Team at Yate Town Council and  the Friends of the Park volunteers.

We are all looking forward to getting back to enjoying it and the new outdoor gym equipment.
