Tony Davis gained a convincing victory in the Dodington ward by-election this week, with more votes than the other candidates put together. The opposition parties were very divided, with the Conservative vote collapsing so that they finished last.
The full results are as follows:
- Tony Davis, Liberal Democrat Focus Team 787 votes ELECTED
- Mike McGrath, Labour Party 243 votes
- Aaron Foot, UK Independence Party 213 votes
- Kate Duffy, Conservative Party Candidate 139 votes
Boundary note: The Dodington ward of South Glos Council covers the Shire Way, Rodford Way and Abbotswood areas. The Birds Estate is in the Chipping Sodbury ward and didn't have a by-election.
Well done.
